The Doodle-Do Parade and Funeral Procession has been cancelled. The mock New Orleans-style funeral march around Ybor City had become a popular underground event for many Tampa-based Krewes. The party honored the death of James E. Rooster, who passed at the hands of a neighborhood dog. Started in the mid 90’s with about 50 people, the parade and party last year drew about 700 spectators with three live bands!

The dress rehearsal is still in the plans, but will now become a hurricane relief benefit. Get over to Rick’s On The River on October 13.
